Dr. Fusco
A graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and New York Medical College, Dr. Fusco received residency training in general surgery from Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center. After fellowship training in critical care from Vanderbilt University, Dr. Fusco began a practice in general surgery with an emphasis in laparoscopic surgery in 1994. Dr. Fusco began practice in Melbourne Florida after leaving the United States Air Force in 1998.

Registered Nurse

Sue has been a registered nurse for nine years. Initially she worked on the post-surgical ward at Holmes Regional Medical Center. She has worked for MIMA general surgery for greater than 10 years. Along with nursing care, Sue also assists patients with surgical scheduling.

Amy
Medical Assistant

Amy assists while Dr. Fusco evaluates patients in the office. She assists with minor procedures and helps schedule surgery.

Pam schedules appointments, follow up visits, tests and consultations

Rita Griffith
Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant

Rita is a self employed CRNFA. For many operative procedures Dr. Fusco feels a qualified nurse first assistant greatly enhances the quality and efficiency of the surgical procedure. Our office will arrange for Rita to assist Dr. Fusco for cases he feels a benefit exists. Depending on your insurance you may receive a separate bill for first assisting services. Rita is an important part of the advanced laparoscopic team. Dr. Fusco has utilized Rita as his primary first assistant since January 2000.

Billing and Accounts Receivable

Laura is responsible for billing and assisting patients with financial questions.

Kathy Blair
Patient Insurance Specialist (for LifeShape patients only)

With MIMA since 1996, Kathy has worked in medical administration since 1992. Kathy has extensive experience in all aspects of surgical practice administration.

Michelle has worked in the medical field since 1992. She has been with MIMA since 1995
